Summary
An ideal candidate to assume responsibility for small and large management, process and maintenance projects.
With over 30 years in both water and waste treatment, including installation, operations and management of Filtration, Aerobic and Anaerobic treatment plants.
I am self-motivated and results driven, with a strong background of effective management in operations and commissioning, with extensive experience working in a multicultural environment, often under challenging circumstances.
With a strong understanding of engineering specifications, P&ID’s, drawings, installations and site commissioning procedures and providing process input to tenders and projects.
Projects have ranged from managing operations of functional and pilot plants, new installations and refurbishment of existing plants.
Duties have included project management, procurement, client liaison, Health & Safety, operator training, root cause analysis, data analysis and interpretation, continuous process improvement, and budget control.
Team leadership, strong communication, analytical skills and reporting of all relevant data and activities have attributed to a number of successful ventures.

South Africa: Managed projects at various sewage and water treatment plants for municipalities throughout the country in conjunction with Biwater and PCI Africa. Installation and commissioning of 12 X Degramont ‘Sludge Belt Presses’ for Johannesburg Water sewage works.
Eritrea: Successful commissioning and handover of new build ‘Adi Nefas’ water treatment plant to Asmara municipality for Biwater SA.
Pakistan: Manage final installations and commissioning of ‘Mangipoor’ pump station and 460 Ml/day ‘HUB’ water treatment plant in Karachi for JV between Biwater UK and KEG Engineering.
Nigeria: Recruit and train indigenous staff to operate and maintain 150 Ml/day ‘Tamburawa’ water treatment plant in Kano for PCI Africa. Created a 15% saving on operational budget in second year through improved efficiency.
Improved service and collection system for water supply in Calabar, creating revenue increase in excess of 35%.
Commissioning and handover of 2 x 240 Ml/day water treatment plants at LUD phase 2 project in Abuja for Biwater International.
Sudan: Implement systems for procurement of spares, chemicals and revenue collection at ‘Al Manara’ treatment works in Khartoum for Biwater International.
