Principal Accountabilities:-
• To ensure that and all persons within the Amal Steam area: PDO Construction and Operations team, contractors, subcontractors, interface projects / contractors involved with Amal execution fully comply with all PDO & Project HSE requirements. Achieve project target of zero LTI.
• Promote Heath Safety and environmental awareness through inductions, training and inspection.
• Assess and evaluate risks, providing adequate risk management solutions, including detailed discussions within PDO-team and Contractors personnel.
• Assure compliance to PDO and project standards,
• Conduct compliance reviews in keeping with the Project and Contractors HSE Plan.
• Assist in investigation all incidents/accidents and near misses and present reports accordingly, joint management inspections and all other audits and inspection program as per yearly HSE Plan schedule.
• Assure implementation of Training program, HSE Plan, HSE Management System and Permit to Work System.
• Participation in all Shut Down activities, reviewing the risk assessment and all other necessary documents associated with the Shut Down.
• To prepare statistical data and prepare performance indicators for managements review.

• Review relevant construction procedures (e.g. scaffolding and heavy lift procedures).

• Ensure HSE-plan is implemented properly and review the plan yearly, to ensure that it is a ‘live’ document and is kept up to date.

• Providing HSE training to all the personals in the project and record keeping of the training the employees attended which helps to cover all the topics to employees and also arrange a systematic schedule for retraining.
• All incidents on the project notifying and investigation. Results from the investigations to be shared with the project organization and improvements or implementation of protective measures.
• Conducting joint inspection with mechanical and electrical departments for heavy moving equipments like cranes both crawler and tier mounted, excavators, dumpers, forklift, batching plant, electrical power tools, diesel generators, compressors, distribution panel boards etc.
• Ensuring that all the checklist provided by the management daily. Weekly and monthly are being followed properly and maintenance of those records. Ensuring all the permit system such as hot work, lifting, excavation, confined space and electrical isolation and lock out tag out procedures are being properly implemented.
