Amal Cluster Steam Facilities, Petroleum Development Oman:-The Project objective is to deliver integrated facilities necessary to inject 10,000 tonnes/day of steam into two existing fields, steam distribution, metering, a gathering system, a new gathering station, around 300 wells and an aquifer pump-off system in order to produce 20,000 barrels per day of oil. I, Site HSE & SD Advisor is a member of a team of Site HSE Advisors that will together with PDO construction (involving contractors and sub-contractors) and Operation Team (including onshore drilling) manage, implement and monitor HSE activities –with emphasis on Safety-on site at Amal during construction, commissioning and operation phases of the project. The project has been awarded with Silver Award for HSE Excellence by American Society of Safety Engineers ASSE-GCC Kuwait Chapter

Principal Accountabilities:-

• To ensure that and all persons within the Amal Steam area: PDO Construction and Operations team, contractors, subcontractors, interface projects / contractors involved with Amal execution fully comply with all PDO & Project HSE requirements. Achieve project target of zero LTI.
• Promote Heath Safety and environmental awareness through inductions, training and inspection.
• Assess and evaluate risks, providing adequate risk management solutions, including detailed discussions within PDO-team and Contractors personnel.
• Assure compliance to PDO and project standards,
• Conduct compliance reviews in keeping with the Project and Contractors HSE Plan.
• Assist in investigation all incidents/accidents and near misses and present reports accordingly, joint management inspections and all other audits and inspection program as per yearly HSE Plan schedule.
• Assure implementation of Training program, HSE Plan, HSE Management System and Permit to Work System.
• Participation in all Shut Down activities, reviewing the risk assessment and all other necessary documents associated with the Shut Down.
• To prepare statistical data and prepare performance indicators for managements review.
• Assure management that Safety training is being implemented.
• Review relevant construction procedures (e.g. scaffolding and heavy lift procedures).
• Assure “Tool Box Talk” ALARP, and HSE cases are followed.
• Advertise Safety program to all the workers.
• Participate in Weekly, Monthly Yard talks.
• Assure site security is being implemented.
• Permit to Work System is being used correctly.
• Audit and inspect the camp and worksite facilities
• Assisting the On Scene Commander and all members of the Local Emergency Base Centre in case of emergencies.

Commencing services for EPC Contractor CINDA, a subsidiary of CCC, Taiwan for a LNG Terminal for Petronet LNG.The Project main consultant is Whessoe Oil & Gas, UK.CINDA are responsible for regas process plant .My duties includes:-

• Ensure HSE-plan is implemented properly and review the plan yearly, to ensure that it is a ‘live’ document and is kept up to date.
• Preparation of risk assessment with the coordination of the concern discipline for all the activities carried out and getting it approved from the client.
• Ensuring that the Onsite operations, with specific importance to Scaffolds, Lifting, Excavations, Confined Space, Hydro testing, Pneumatic testing, Abrasive blasting etc, Site Safety Procedures and legal requirements is as per the guide lines.
• Equipping the work force to effectively tackle the emergency situations by Emergency Planning and conducting emergency mock drills.
• Imparting Fire & Safety Training to engineers, supervisors, and craft training to the same as well as workers.
• Investigating about the various Incidents and near misses which happen in the site, finding the root cause, advising on control measures to prevent recurrence. Preparation of reports based on this.
• Preparation of HSE Statistics as per Guidelines.[ BOCW Act 1996 ]

Commenced services for Afcons Infrastructure Limited, rail connectivity and fly over project. The Project main consultants were Rail Vikas Nigam Limited and DAAR. UK. My duties included: -

• Providing HSE training to all the personals in the project and record keeping of the training the employees attended which helps to cover all the topics to employees and also arrange a systematic schedule for retraining.

• All incidents on the project notifying and investigation. Results from the investigations to be shared with the project organization and improvements or implementation of protective measures.

• Conducting joint inspection with mechanical and electrical departments for heavy moving equipments like cranes both crawler and tier mounted, excavators, dumpers, forklift, batching plant, electrical power tools, diesel generators, compressors, distribution panel boards etc.

• Ensuring that all the checklist provided by the management daily. Weekly and monthly are being followed properly and maintenance of those records. Ensuring all the permit system such as hot work, lifting, excavation, confined space and electrical isolation and lock out tag out procedures are being properly implemented.

• Preparation of HSE Statistics as per Guidelines.[ BOCW Act 1996 ]
